UK SMART HOMES TAKING AN EXTRA STEP

United Kingdom based housing researchers InterHome have developed an energy-efficient home suitable for elderly people. The new Eco smart home can monitor its resident’s health and send phone text alerts.  The prototype of the home – which has been developed in doll houses – integrates embedded devices with home automation controllers to provide convenience and security to its inhabitants and enables them to reduce energy. WOR is looking forward to these systems hitting New Zealand shores.
