TAURANGA SET TO BE THE NEW HOME OF DRAG RACING

New Zealand Speedway Association has recently released the feasibility study for a proposed international speedway development at Tauranga’s TECT All-Terrain Park. The track would allow for speeds of up to 433km/h in 400 metres and, if approved, could be actualised in as little as three years. Development of the TECT All-Terrain Park dates back to 2009, with extensive infrastructure & commercial construction being an on-going concern for the Council and developers alike. With a proposed $8.3 million to be spent on the speedway development plans aren’t slowing. It will include a large car park, viewing embankments and a control and administration building which would act as a bridge over the staging area. Follow commercial developments at J133893 and civil elements on J139486.
