TAUPO ATTRACTS BIG NAMES FOR RETAIL SPACE

 

Surplus retail space in Taupo is at a 30 year high, with over 20 vacant premises littering the main shopping district. Local real estate agent Brent Howie of First National hinted that the boutique shopping culture of the small town is about to change, stating that the empty space it attracting interest from big chain store retailers. “We are getting inquiries all the time and there is interest out there,” Howie said.
