NEW HIGHWAY SERVICE CENTRE PLANNED FOR NORTHLAND

A new $20 million service centre on Port Marsden Highway has recently been granted full consent by the areas associated Councils’ as well as endorsement from St John Ambulance Service, who claim the area is desperate for a rest zone for weary drivers. The site location is just south of Whangarei and will cater to all motorists with a service station, fast food outlets, retail outlets, storage facilities, and articulated truck and caravan park-ups as well as cabins. Although there is no firm start date for the project the conditions of the consents mean that earthworks must be done between November 2012 and to May 2013. Follow this project on J116832.
