NEW FAMILY ROOM PLANNED FOR SOUTHLAND HOSPITAL

Ronald McDonald House South Island Trust (RMH) has announced plans to build a four-bedroom family room alongside Southland Hospital’s neo-natal intensive care unit. The proposed facility will provide accommodation and support for families of children receiving treatment at the hospital. Concept designs are underway for the $500,000 plus project, and RMH General Manager Emma Jones hopes that construction will start mid September 2012, to be opened by early 2013. For further details on this exciting project, see WOR listing J140697 and the charity’s website www.rmhsi.org.nz.
