MAJOR PLANS RELEASED TO REVITALIZE BOWENTOWNA plan by the Northern Tauranga Harbour Recreational Users Forum has been released this month with an ambitious proposal for a 200-berth marina at Bowentown, and a supermarket and retail complex at Waihi Beach, to revitalise the area. The development is expected to take up to 20 years to complete and requires consent from a number of parties, including Department of Conservation, Western Bay of Plenty District Council and Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
