LATEST CONSENT STATISTICS – JANUARY 2011

 

Residential building consent values for January 2011 fell 19% compared with January 2010, having fewer new homes authorised in 12 of New Zealand’s 16 regions. A small rise of 2.3% in non-residential consents was reported, however the total value of consents for all buildings fell 11% to $537 million. Positive areas of growth include factories/industrial buildings and educational buildings, all up from the previous year.
