KIWI BACH GOES TO U.S. CAPITAL
Architecture students of Wellington’s Victoria University are putting the finishing touches on the Meridian First Light House in Washington DC, as they compete in the US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2011. As reported by Whats On earlier this year, the house won entry for the first time to the competition after it was assembled in Central Wellington’s Frank Kitts Park, and is now only a stone’s throw away from the White House. According to Team Member Nick Officer rebuilding the house had been hard work, although having done it before had worked to their advantage, and they are hopeful of bringing home the top prize.
