HOUSE PRICES INCREASING OUTSIDE CHRISTCHURCH

As earthquake-affected Christchurch residents leave the city, house prices in other Canterbury towns are on the increase. According to Quotable Value, house prices in Ashburton have risen 4% in the past three months, and 2.1% and 2.9% in the Selwyn and Waimakariri districts respectively. There’s been a shortage for good quality three-bedroom homes in these towns since the earthquake.
