HOUSE OF THE YEAR SEES HIGH AMOUNT FOR CANTERBURY ENTRIES

Canterbury builders have submitted the most entries for a region in the Registered Master Builders (RMB) 2012 House of the Year. The numbers of Canterbury residential entries are up 60%, exceeding expectations after a tough time for both the region and the industry. Judges have started assessing the entries, where they will scrutinise over 340 homes in 12 regions across the country. This year will be the first since 2006 that The House of the Year competition will run separately from the RMB Commercial Awards, and will look at new homes and renovations, sustainable entries, show homes and builders’ own homes.
