GREERTON LIBRARY SET TO GET MORE THAN THEY BARGAINED FOR

Revised plans for the Greerton Library redevelopment were released this week on the back of two promising developers responding to the Council’s call for expressions of interest in a public-private partnership. Originally, with only Council financing the project, the library was to receive a 200 sq m extension. It is now likely that, instead, a 1000 sq m library will be built to replace the existing along with a new retail hub stretching from Chadwick Road and Greerton Road right to the Village Green. We expect a developer to be on board and the scope of the project to be revealed before the end of the year – watch this space. For further details see J40542.
