FAVOURITE RETAIL SPOTS IN CAPITAL REVEALED

 

Colliers's latest report on Wellington's retail property market reveals that businesses prefer to tenant buildings in the Cuba Street and Lambton Quay retail areas over Courtenay Place and Manners Mall. Cuba Street currently has no vacant shops and Lambton Quay is not far off from this figure, with only 2.9% of shops vacant; however, Courtney Place has slipped in recent years and is currently 8.6% vacant. While Wellington's percentage of vacant shops will stay stable over the year, it is predicted that Auckland's number of retail vacancies will increase from 3.9% to 4.6% over the year.
