Economy in recovery

The New Zealand economy has made a strong comeback in the past year, according to information collated by the Palmerston North City Council. The monthly economic update indicates that national export sales increased by 10% in the June quarter. Manufactured exports have also risen for the first time in over a year. Although there have been some periods of instability, economic activity is set to increase with the stimulus from personal income and business tax cuts effective 1 October 2010.
