Plans to position Auckland as the most liveable city in the world are currently in motion. A “global think-tank” has chosen to study the liveability of New Zealand’s biggest city and explore ideas that could help push Auckland up the ranks. Auckland council will work alongside AECOM to develop ideas and designs based around this 30-year vision. Institute leader and Chief Innovation Officer of AECOM, Joe Brown said, “Auckland’s scale, impressive assets and ambition provide a useful case study for many other cities hoping to combine growth with improved liveability”.
