AUCKLAND’S CITY RAIL LINK MAKES IN-ROADS

Auckland Mayor Len Brown is excited by the fact that work on the City Rail Link is progressing. Money has been brought forward from the 2012/13 budget to the current financial year’s budget to ensure a continuation of work, and protect against changes to the eventual rail route. The City Rail Link is a key project which will allow more trains to travel through Britomart, increasing the number & frequency of trips across the city’s whole rail network. Len Brown has made it clear that Auckland has waited long enough for better public transport & now the council must get on with it. Better yet, this year’s spending will not impact the overall cost of the project. Follow progress on the City Rail Link at J125543.
