AUCKLAND INFRASTRUCTURE TAKES A STEP FORWARD

A new committee has been formed and given a deadline of three months to come up with a feasible solution to allow cyclists and pedestrians to get across the Auckland Harbour Bridge. The group was formed after threats of monthly protests on the bridge were relayed from Pathway project director Bevan Woodward. Auckland Mayor Len Brown demanded action on the project but noted that his support of the technical team did not imply financial commitment. Whats On Report have been following this project since September 2009, see J113007.
